"toots" and "boogers"

you remember how i mentioned i needed to go prepare dinner? well i did. i made my family's all time favorite, homemade chicken pot pie. after serving everyones plate and enjoying some family time around the table i hear this rumbling sound from across the table. henry looks up, smiles, and says, "that was me. Excuse me." then in just a matter of seconds daphne, with her finger in her nose, says to us, "wook mommy. wook my booger." ahh, that's family time!!

the plunge

i am finally taking the plunge into the world of blogging...

ross and my brother-in-law, eric, say that my sister and i have a 3500 word a day quota to meet. they may be on to something so that is one of many reasons i am now doing this!

though some of you who will read my ramblings are coming straight from ross' blog, be assured that what i have to say just might be as entertaining if not more so.

these are our three adorable, wild, entertaining, loud, precious and always lovable kiddos!

henry is now 5 and quite the man. he loves life and is full of passion. he enjoys spending time with his friends, especially his girlfriend - callie, swimming - which can be done 5 to 6 months out of the year here, and when we are up on the mountain he loves to go hiking. when henry hikes his ability to lead others really shines!

daphne is 2 and holding back nothing. she is full of energy from the start to the finish. in fact our christmas card (as seen above) was taken 2 days before she fell and knocked out her front tooth- root and all! she was being silly on our rocking horse and lost her balance and came crashing down on the tail end of the horse... ross scooped her up and asked me, "did she have both front teeth?" when i answered, "yes" he said to me, "well, not any more." if any little girl could pull off the toothless grin it will be our daph!

then there is our newest, anna. she is such a joy. she is very easy going and smiles all the time. anna is now 3 months old and not yet sleeping through the night. the others were sleeping through the night by 9 weeks and so instead of being flustered i am trying to recognize that middle of the night feeding as a special "date" with just my littlest.

nap time is almost up and there is a dinner to prepare.

till next time...
